Description
Brooke Priory Dovecote is a Grade II listed building that was originally a lodge for a mansion constructed on the site of Brooke Priory in the late 16th century. This small octagonal structure is made of ashlar stone and features stone tiled roofs along with a moulded stone cornice. It has a projecting chimney stack on one side and a four-centred arched door with a hoodmould on the south face. Above the door, there is a long window with stone balusters on either side. The west face includes a partially blocked three-light stone ovolo moulded mullion window on the first floor, with a shield above it, and a similar window is found on the opposite side. The lodge was converted into a dovecote in the 18th century.
