Description
Brooke Priory is a house that stands on the site of, and likely incorporates remains of, a former priory. The facade features 18th century window designs, but the building itself is probably from the 16th century, as indicated by a four-centred arch at the rear. The exterior is faced in brick, while the walls are made of stone, and it has a stone tiled roof. The facade has one and a half storeys and consists of five bays, with a single bay to the left of the door, which includes an overlight. All lower windows are triple-light sash windows with stone sills and brick heads, while the upper windows are dormer casements with catslide roofs. The building has coped gables, with a gable end and two axial stone stacks. There is a stone string course above the ground floor windows. In the left gable wall, there is a tier of ovolo moulded mullioned windows with hoodmoulds and quoins, which are likely from the mid-17th century.
