Description
Home Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with later additions probably from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a diamond tiled roof. The building has one and a half storeys and a three-unit plan. To the left of the door, there is a single bay with a two-light casement window that has a chamfered timber lintel. The doorway also has a chamfered timber lintel. To the right of the door, there is an unusual arrangement of windows on both floors: the ground floor includes a squared bay and a slightly projecting window with wooden mullions, where the outer ones are coursed, and small panes above, topped with an ashlar projection that slopes into a narrower projecting upper dormer. Above the dormer, two corbels support a one and a half timbered gable. To the right of this window, there is a canted wood mullioned bay window and another gabled dormer above. The dormers to the left of the elevation have catslide roofs. The building features coped gables, with two gables and one axial old brick stack. To the right of the house, there is a half hipped and catslide roofed outshut with a pantiled roof and a tiny upper window.
