Description

This is a barn located 40 meters to the east of Number 6, dated around 1741 according to a barely legible plaque on the right gable. The structure is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a Collyweston slate roof with coped gables and roll moulding at each apex. It has five bays and a central cart entry with a wooden lintel. There are vent slits on the left and rear sides, and a lean-to with a pantile roof on the right. The right gable end includes a blocked window and a panelled plaque with a moulded cornice. All openings are framed with bonded jambs made of large limestone blocks, and similar quoin blocks are present. The roof is supported by collar and tie-beam trusses along with double butt purlins.
