Description
The stable block at Lyndon Hall is a mid-19th century structure built from coursed rubble stone, featuring quoins and stone dressings. It has a Collyweston slate roof with a moulded stone ridge and end stacks, along with stone-coped gables. The building has an irregular U-shaped layout with 1, 1½, and 2½ storeys, and the entrance is located in the 1-storey section on the nearer side.
A central rounded carriageway arch is topped by a bull's eye window in the gable above. Above this, there is an ashlar belfry tower designed in Flemish baroque style, which includes rusticated quoins, a dentilled cornice, and a clock face flanked by volutes. The tower is crowned with an octagonal lantern featuring open keyed arches, a bracketed cornice, and an ogee fish-scale roof with lucarnes.
To the left, there is a 2-storey range with two stone mullion windows and a large central dormer that has a boarded window. To the right, a gable features a stone-framed window on both floors and a loophole above. Inside the yard, there are 1 and 1-storey ranges with doors that have moulded stone frames and round-arched windows with keystones, as well as three 2-light dormers.
