Description

The Church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 13th century, with alterations from the 15th century and restoration in the 19th century. It features a nave with aisles and a clerestory, a chancel, a west tower, a gabled north porch, and a south vestry. The church is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has shallow-pitched lead roofs, with coping from a previous roof visible on the east face of the tower.

The three-stage west tower has a Collyweston stone slate saddleback roof with coped gables, two-light Decorated bell-openings, and a round-headed entrance to the west. The church's body predominantly features 15th-century fenestration, although 13th-century triple lancets remain at the west end of both aisles and in the easternmost window of the south aisle. The east window is a 19th-century Decorated style. There is a priest's door on the south side of the chancel, and a rainwater head dated 1781 is located on the south aisle.

Inside, the church has 19th-century roofs, and the north arcade has been removed. The south arcade consists of three bays with pointed arches, circular piers, and abaci, featuring chamfered arches and plain capitals. The pointed chamfered chancel arch is supported by cylindrical piers with stiff-leaf capitals and circular abaci, with the arms of George I in relief above. The chancel also contains a late 16th-century monument to Elizabeth Cecil, sister of William, First Lord Burleigh, along with 19th-century fittings and stained glass.
