Description

No. 3 Main Street is a house that dates from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, with a core from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone windows and has a stone-tiled roof. The building is two storeys high. On the first floor, there are two small two-light mullion windows on either side of a large three-light leaded casement dormer. The ground floor features two two-light stone mullioned windows flanking an entrance with a panelled door. To the right of the entrance is a small dressed rubble-faced window, and further to the right is a two-light casement with a timber lintel. The house has two ashlar stacks, one off centre and one at the gable end. There is a tablet dated 1937 with the initials J F L over J F 1742.
