Description

No. 12 Main Street is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century. It is built of rubble with ashlar detailing and has a stone-tiled roof. The building has two storeys and features ashlar quoins. On the first floor, there are three symmetrical two-light casement windows set on timber cills. The ground floor has paired three-light casement windows with ashlar keystoned lintels, flanking a central window that has been altered from the original entrance; this central window is a large one-light window with an ashlar keystoned lintel and quoins. There are two brick stacks at the gable ends. Access to the house is now through a later wing at the rear.
