Description
Horn Millhouse is a house built in the 18th century and dated 1851. It features coursed rubble stone and squared stone with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a Collyweston slate roof that has stone and buff brick ridge stacks. The left end stack is truncated, while the right end stack is made of red brick.
The building consists of two ranges; the right range, dating from the 18th century, is 2½ storeys high and has a 3-light casement window above a blocked door (with a 1-light window inserted) and a 2-light window. There is also a 2-light dormer above. The left range, dated 1851, is 2 storeys tall and features three 3/6 sash windows above a 6/6 sash window, with a central part-glazed door that has an overlight, all within a cast iron openwork porch. On the left end gable, there is a stone tablet inscribed with the date 1851, which also reuses an earlier inscription from 1587 in an older script.
