Description

Hall Cottage is a house that was originally a range of outbuildings for Ayston Hall. It dates from the late 17th century and has additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar detailing and has a stone tiled roof, with the gable end facing the road. It features various sizes of stone-dressed windows. There are two small windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor on the right-hand side, located before an early 19th-century archway. The main range of the cottage is one storey high and has three ashlar stacks.
