Description

Brooke Priory Gateway and the flanking walls adjoining the former lodge date from the late 16th century and are constructed of ashlar stone. The gateway features a round arch supported by Roman Doric columns, which have slightly moulded capitals and an arch. There is a carved and pendant keystone above the arch. The flanking walls on either side of the gateway have tiled coping and are hollowed out behind two fluted shafts that rest on high moulded square bases.
