Description

The summer house in the gardens of Old Hall, built around 1930 by Goodhart Rendel, features a rear screen wall and a lean-to shelter. The screen wall is made of ashlar and includes two piers topped with urns on either side, along with flanking walls that have a curving cornice string course and coped piers at each end. The front of the building is finished in wood and glass, featuring central glazed double doors separated by a carved shaft from many-paned, half-height windows. The side walls are constructed of stone and end in slim piers that support decorative consoles. The lean-to roof is covered with blue pantiles.
