Description

The Cottage is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century, with a slightly later wing. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with sandstone quoins. The main range is a 1½-storey, 2-unit plan building with a gable facing the street. It features two 3-light wood casement windows with chamfered timber lintels, and two gabled dormers above. Stone gable end stacks are present. A lower, narrow bay connects this part of the house to the wing, and contains the entrance. The wing itself is a single bay, two-storey structure with 3-light casement windows with chamfered timber lintels on both floors.
