Description

The ice house, located 40 meters southeast of Lodge Number 1 at Wollaton Park, dates from the early 19th century and was restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features an oval earth mound that covers two brick vaulted oval chambers, which may be linked. The structure has two round-arched tunnel entrances, each with renewed segment-arched board doors.
