Description

Nos 1 to 6 on Main Street are a group of three pairs of cottages designed by architect William Butterfield in 1859. These two-storey cottages have a second storey that is partly within the roof space. They are constructed of red brick, featuring blue brick patterning, and have tiled roofs with gabled and half-hipped ends. The buildings include brick chimney stacks and casement windows with glazing bars, which are topped with segmental brick arches. Each cottage has a small gabled porch.
