The Statue of John Biggs is a late 19th-century bronze figure commemorating John Biggs, who lived from 1801 to 1871. It stands on a polished pink granite circular pedestal that features a cornice and an octagonal plinth. The statue is located on a traffic island at the junction of Welford Road, Newarke Street, Pocklingtons Walk, and Welford Place.
