Description
1-5 St John’s Terrace is an early to mid-19th century range of terraced villas. The buildings are constructed of stucco and extend to two storeys, featuring eleven sash windows. Each villa has a narrow, two-storey canted bay window with three lights, containing single glazing bars. A recessed doorway is present in a wooden surround, with a horizontal fanlight detailed with diamond-pattern glazing bars and a four-panelled door. The buildings are characterised by bold lined eaves and slate roofing. Nos 1 to 5 form a group of architectural significance with the Church of St John the Evangelist on Bridge Street.
