Description
The gate piers and flanking wall with railings at the front of Newhall Lodge date from around 1800. They are made of ashlar with coping, and feature cast-iron railings and gates. There are paired gate piers on either side, with the left one being prone. Each pier has caps adorned with a triangular pediment on each face. The flanking quadrant walls end at similar piers. The gates and railings are designed with simple bars and arrow-head finials. This structure is included for its group value.
