Description
Nos 5 to 13 Wentworth Street, which includes No 1 St John's Square, consists of three pairs of houses built in the third quarter of the 19th century. Each house is three stories tall, featuring one window on the front but with a three-bay return. The buildings are constructed of bright red brick and have stone friezes, cornices, and window dressings. The roofs are hipped and covered with Welsh slate, having a fairly low pitch. The houses also have sash windows, with heavy canted bays on the ground floor and Ionic doorcases on the returns.
