Description
The gate piers and gates with overthrow, located approximately 5 meters east of the Dower House, date from the mid-18th century. They are made of ashlar and wrought iron and serve as the entrance to the walled garden of the Dower House. The tall square gate piers feature a plinth, a rusticated base, and channelled stonework, which includes an arch-headed niche with an impost and a false triple keystone. Above, there is a cornice and a pulvinated frieze, leading to a casement-moulded cornice topped with a wrought-iron heart-shaped finial. The gate itself includes dog bars, a decorative mid-rail, and flanking side panels, all crafted in a similar wrought-iron style, along with a decorative overthrow.
