Description

These railings enclose a petrol station and were built in 1932, designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield. They are likely made of cast iron and are painted white, standing approximately 0.75 meters high on a stone plinth. The railings have a circular plan, with breaks at three points to allow motor access from Eastgate and St Peter's Street. The design features geometric 'X' and 'O' motifs. They are included in the listing for their group value.
