Description
Kirkstall Tile Centre, located at Bridge Mills in Leeds, is a mid-19th century mill that has been converted into a warehouse and showrooms with offices, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a tiled hipped roof for the mill section and slate roofing for the offices.
The road-facing side of the structure is five stories tall with two five-bay sections for the mill on the left and a three-story, three-bay entrance range on the right. The entrance range includes a blocked segmental arch on the left, which has rusticated voussoirs and impost blocks, a blocked doorway in the center, and a 20th-century window on the right. The first floor has sash windows with plain surrounds, while the center is blocked, and there are square windows on the second floor. The mill range features two windows with plain surrounds on each floor, pilastered corners, and a hipped roof. Additionally, there are round arches on the left return and a blocked former engine house arch on the east side to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
