Description
The gates and gate piers, located approximately 30 meters southeast of Beech Grove House, date from the mid-19th century and feature later additions. They are constructed from ashlar and wrought iron. The double gates include bars and dog bars topped with trefoil finials. The openwork wrought-iron piers are square in section and approximately 3 meters high, with outer pedestrian gates designed in the same style. The outer piers are made of rusticated ashlar, also square in section, and feature a cornice with 20th-century lamp finials. These gates serve as the original entrance to the grounds of Beech Grove House.
