Description

This is an 18th and 19th century complex of buildings, originally a wool mill. Silver Mill House, on its garden elevation, dates to the 18th century. It is two storeys high, built of stone with a stone slate roof, and has three windows with stone architraves. A canted bay window is present on the ground floor, and a tall, coped chimney rises from the gable end. The front door consists of six panels with a rectangular fanlight above. The rear elevation is three storeys high and has varied windows, including a three-light mullion window on the ground floor, and a projecting wooden oriel bay above.

The Mill Building itself is a tall three-storey structure of stone with a stone slate roof. It has plain window surrounds, retaining an original first-floor sash window with glazing bars. Stone architraves frame the doors, and there is a section of roughcast rendering.

A group of three cottages, dating to the mid-19th century, are also part of the complex. These are three storeys high, built of stone with a Welsh slate roof and stone stacks. They have six windows, three of which are smaller, all set within rough stone architraves.
