Description

Bloomfield House is a building located on Gay Lane, dating from around 1745, although it appears to have early 19th-century features. It is constructed of stone and has a stone slate roof with end chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and three windows, which feature stone architraves and hung sashes without glazing bars. The front elevation includes two large 19th-century bays on the ground floor. Inside, the ground floor room boasts a moulded ceiling cornice, an arched alcove, and a stone fireplace with shouldered moulding. The former stables are located at Nos 28 to 32. Bloomfield House, along with Nos 28 to 34, forms a group.
