Colton Lodge is a small house dating from the early 19th century. Constructed of brick, it has a low-pitched slate roof and stone coping to the gable ends. The two-storey, three-window facade features red brick segmental arches over sash windows with horizontal rectangular panes, and exposed casing. A modern glazed door replaces the original entrance in the central doorway. The interior has not been inspected.
