Description
6 and 7 Woodhouse Square is a pair of houses, now used as offices, built between 1845 and 1855 by architect and builder RW Moore. The buildings are constructed of red brick with painted stone details and feature a slate roof. They stand three storeys high and have six first-floor windows. The structure includes a plinth and rusticated quoins. The entrances, located in the outer bays, have glazed doors set within moulded architraves, which are supported by console brackets that hold up a dentilled cornice and blocking piece. The ground floor has tall windows with modern frames, framed by architraves and a panel below. The first-floor windows are also framed with architraves, featuring dentilled sills and modillion cornices, while the second floor has dentilled sills. The buildings have a modillion eaves cornice and chimney stacks located at the rear of the ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
