Description

The Sycamores is a house dating to around 1800, with a later addition. It is constructed of coursed, squared magnesian limestone with a stone slate roof. The original part of the house has a three-bay facade, while a later addition extends it to five bays. The original facade features a plinth, a central panelled door beneath a flat arch, and three sash windows with glazing bars, all with projecting stone sills and flat arches. The first floor has three matching sash windows. The left bay addition has a later door and casement window, and a basket-arched carriage entrance. It also contains sixteen-pane sash windows on both floors. Yellow brick end stacks are present on the original three-bay section. At the rear, a round-headed stair window is visible, featuring glazing bars in a Gothick style.
