Description
The lych gate at the Church of St Mary, likely built in 1846 by R.D. Chantrell, is constructed of coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof, showcasing Gothic Revival style. It features a steep roof with stone coping on high gable ends and crosses at the apex. The entrance has a moulded pointed arch supported by paired attached columns and a hoodmould, along with buttresses. The curved flanking walls are approximately 5 meters long, topped with pointed coping and shallow pyramid caps on the end piers. This structure is included for its group value.
