Description

Croft House, Nos. 33, 33a and 35, is a building of probable early 19th-century date, located on the south side of Westgate in Almondbury. The construction uses hammer-dressed stone and is topped with a pitched stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. The front features five ranges of late 19th-century casement windows, with a canted bay window added to the ground floor. The central bay is slightly projecting and topped with a pediment. A doorway is accentuated by an oblong fanlight and pilasters supporting the pediment. The rear of the building has a round-arched staircase window with glazing bars. Inside, a characteristic Regency-style staircase is present.
