Description
Nos 1 and 2 St Mary's Square is a handed pair of houses that form part of a terrace, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with quoins and feature a stone slate roof, with No 1 having a turned roof. The gable copings are present on the left side, and there is a central brick stack. The buildings rise to three storeys.
On the south-east elevation, each dwelling has one bay. The doorways are located to the left and right, accompanied by a 3-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, a 4-light window on the first floor, and a 5-light window on the second floor. The north-west elevation shows that No 1 has one 2-light stone mullioned window on both the ground and first floors, and a 3-light window on the second floor. No 2 was originally similar to No 1 but has since been altered.
