Description

No. 187 Quarmby Road is a building dating from 1829. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a front that is rendered, and it features a pitched stone slate roof with a coped gable. The building has two storeys and attics. On the first floor, there are two three-light stone mullioned windows, while the ground floor has modern windows fitted into the original openings. The gable end includes a single-light round-arched window that is inscribed with "I J 1829 WOUNDED L----" (the last part is obliterated).
