Description

This is a substantial mid-19th century building forming Nos. 6 to 20 Chapel Hill. Constructed of ashlar, it has a pitched stone slate roof and three storeys, topped by a moulded eaves cornice. The building comprises two ranges of sash windows on each floor. The ground floor has been largely altered, with the exception of No. 10, which retains a good late 19th century shopfront. This shopfront features turned and arched glazing bars and fluted consoles to the moulded cornice. Adjacent to No. 18 is a round-arched entry leading to Grayson’s Yard, characterised by moulded imposts. No. 6 retains its original door, which includes pilasters and a full entablature.
