Description
Nos 57 and 59 on Magdale are a handed pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof, with part of it covered in bitumen. The buildings are two storeys high and face south. Each house has an entrance in a porch on the left and right sides, with a 5-light stone mullioned window for each dwelling. The former central doorway has been blocked. On the first floor, there is one 6-light stone mullioned window for each house. To the right, No 59 has a two-storey extension that lacks architectural interest.
