Description
Nos 93 to 97 Northgate is a building from the 18th century, constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof. It stands two storeys tall. No 93 features a single 5-light stone mullioned sash window with glazing bars. Nos 95 and 97 have two casement windows and two sash windows on the first floor, along with a tripartite stone mullioned window and a late 19th-century shop window on the ground floor. There are blocked segment-headed doorways between Nos 95 and 97 on both elevations, indicating that this structure may have originally been a long-house type of farmhouse. The rear of No 93 has three bipartite stone mullioned sashes with glazing bars on the first floor and one on the ground floor, while Nos 95 and 97 have one casement and one sash with glazing bars on the first floor.
