Description

The Calder and Hebble Navigation Number 4 Lock, also known as Sir John Ramsden's Canal No 4 Lock, was built between 1774 and 1780. It features ashlar kerbstones, iron mooring hooks, and two wooden lock gates. The lock is accompanied by a hammer-dressed stone bridge with a depressed arch and a string course.
