Description

Nos 157 and 159 on Ashes Lane are a long house type farmhouse, dating from the 18th or 19th century. The building is roughcast with a pitched stone slate roof and stands two storeys high. The house features one window with four stone mullions on the ground floor, two windows with two stone mullions on the first floor, and one modern window. There is also one door. Attached to the house is a barn, which has one door and one window for the loft. At the rear, there are two lean-to structures made of hammer-dressed stone, both with stone slate roofs; one of these has a four-light stone mullioned window.
