Description

Nos. 1, 3 and 5, Scotgate Road, form a row of three mid-19th century dwellings. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof and stone brackets. The buildings feature a basement, ground floor, and two upper floors. Sill bands run across the first and second floors. The basement level replicates the ground floor appearance, with one window blocked. Each ground floor has a doorway and one two-light stone mullioned window alongside a single-light window. No. 1 has a seven-light stone mullioned window on both the first and second floors, with the central light blocked on each floor. Nos. 3 and 5 each have two four-light stone mullioned windows on both the first and second floors, with one light blocked on each.
