Description

Nos 1 and 2 Water Street form part of an early 19th-century row of dwellings. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone and have a stone slate roof topped by a central ashlar stack with a plinth, string course, and decorative cornice. They are two storeys high. Each dwelling has a separate entrance on the left and right, with one four-light window on the front of each. The mullions of these windows have been removed. The upper floor of No 1 has one four-light and one three-light window, while No 2 has two three-light windows. The rear elevation features two small, chamfered single-light windows at the centre. A passage entrance is located on the right. The first-floor rear elevation has two three-light, one two-light, and one single-light windows.
