Description

49 Townend is an early 18th-century building located on the east side of Almondbury. It is constructed of rubble with a pitched stone slate roof and has two storeys. The building features stone brackets supporting the gutter. The windows originally had chamfered stone mullions, but in most cases, these have been replaced by sashes with glazing bars from the later 18th century. There is one sash window on both the first and ground floors, as well as one window on each floor that still retains its mullions. The entrance door has a moulded surround.
