Description

This is a group of three dwellings, formerly four back-to-back weavers’ houses, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The south-east elevation of numbers 26 and 27 each feature a central doorway with a single two-light stone mullioned window to either side. Above, on the first and second floors, each dwelling has a single eight-light stone mullioned window. On the north-west elevation, number 31 is back-to-back with number 26. It has an entrance on the right, with three later single-light windows, which may have replaced earlier stone mullioned windows, and a former central door that has been partially blocked. The rear elevation of number 27 has a central doorway, a three-light and a two-light window, and matching eight-light stone mullioned windows on the first and second floors.
