Description

Two weavers' houses forming part of a terrace, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with a stone slate roof. The south elevation of number 29 is two bays wide. The first and second floors each contain two three-light stone mullioned windows, with a further, centrally blocked light to each, suggesting they may have originally been eight-light windows. There is a single three-light window to the ground floor. Number 28 is similar to number 29, but the lower two floors have recently rebuilt windows, sympathetic in style but without mullions. The north elevation of number 29 features a recent ground floor extension and a single three-light stone mullioned window to the first floor, and two three-light windows to the second floor. Number 28 has an entrance and two small single-light windows to the ground floor, with the first and second floors mirroring the design of number 29.
