Description
Taylor Hill Working Men's Club is a mid-19th century building located on Close Hill Lane in Taylor Hill. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone, featuring ashlar dressings and a blocking course. The roof is pitched and covered with stone slate, complete with coped gables. The building has two storeys and includes an eaves cornice and blocking course, which are adorned with painted wreaths in relief at the ends and center.
The facade displays three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars, set in moulded surrounds. The ground floor windows are particularly notable, as they are topped with cornices and a blocking course. The entrance features a door with two moulded panels and an oblong fanlight, which is flanked by Tuscan pilasters that support a full entablature and blocking course.
