Description

Nos 40 to 44 on Westgate in Almondbury are 19th-century buildings featuring a front made of render-covered red brick, with hammer-dressed stone used elsewhere, and ashlar window dressings and mullions. The buildings have a pitched stone slate roof and are two storeys high. Number 40 has two 2-light stone mullioned sash windows on the first floor and one 3-light stone mullioned casement window on the ground floor. Number 42 has one 2-light stone mullioned sash window on the first floor and one casement window on the ground floor. Number 44 has two 2-light stone mullioned sash windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor. Each building features one door with a four-moulded porch and a lean-to outshut at the rear.
