Description

The properties at 6 to 10 Cold Royd Lane comprise a group of buildings dating back to the 18th century, with possible origins earlier than that; numbers 8 and 10 are likely of the 18th or 19th century. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone and have pitched stone slate roofs. Number 6 is two storeys high, with attics, while numbers 8 and 10 are two storeys. Number 10 features three ranges of three-light stone mullioned casement windows. Number 8 has one two-light and one four-light stone mullioned casement on the first floor. Number 6 has two two-light stone mullioned casements on the first floor, a blocked window on the ground floor, and one casement with glazing bars in the gable end. A former barn extension to the north has been partially demolished, revealing a king post truss.
