Description

The Lea family tomb is a chest tomb located approximately 43 metres north of the sanctuary of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and is constructed of dressed stone. The base features a moulded plinth, with balusters at the corners and in the centre of the long sides, as well as oval panels in architraves on all sides. It has a dentil cornice and the top slab is finely lettered, showcasing an elaborate initial letter. The tomb commemorates various members of the Lea family.
