Description

Holdsworth House Farmhouse is a long, two-storey stone building, dated 1692, with a stone roof. The windows are mullioned, though some have been altered. A simple doorway is located in the western part of the building, while a large round-arched entrance with mouldings is situated in the eastern part, featuring a drip-moulding above a recessed doorway. An elliptical window is positioned above the arched entrance, displaying the date and the inscription "W over ID." A lean-to extends from the rear of the building. The farmhouse, together with the barn to its rear, a barn and cottage, a wall, a forecourt gateway, a gazebo, and a barn with Laurel Bank Nos 1 to 3, form an important village group.
