Description

Nos 30 to 40 on Cross Road are a row of cottages built around 1820 to 1830. They are two-storey structures made of sandstone that resemble brick, featuring a sill band. The roofs are covered with stone slates and have bracketed eaves. Each cottage has corniced chimneys and two-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds. The doorways have squared jambs. This row of cottages occupies an important corner site at the beginning of Church Lane.
