Description
Number 14 and the adjoining smithy, located on Church Lane in Esholt, is a cottage dating from around 1830 to 1840. The cottage is two stories tall and constructed from rough dressed sandstone, topped with a stone slate roof. It features three plain, shallow revealed windows. The adjoining former smithy is from the early 19th century and likely includes a window from around 1840 as part of an extension. This section also has a stone slate roof and a two-light square mullioned window that retains small pane fixed glazing. To the right, there is a stable door set in a squared frame. The smithy retains its hearth and chimney in place.
