Description

Stannington Cross is a medieval structure located at the junction of Oldfield Road and Stannington Road on the west side of the junction. It is made of gritstone and consists of a square base slab with iron cramps attached to a deep square plinth. The stump of a cross shaft is set into this plinth, which features large pyramidal chamfer stops.
